ABOUT THE TRAINERS

 
 
Dr Judy Dewsbury is a member of the National Council, an Assessor and past Chair of the Academic and Accreditation Committee of the BSCAH . She retired from City Hospital in 2001 and continued to consult privately in Clinical Hypnosis and Psychosexual Medicine till 2007.
 
Dr Trevor Hadfield is a GP and Family Planning Trainer near Lichfield. He has worked in Nigeria as a missionary doctor. He has pioneered training courses for nursing and other medical staff in hypnosis, is a master practitioner in NLP and continues to study the teaching of hypnotic principles in the medical profession.
 
Dr Ian Walton is a GP with a special interest in mental health, a GP trainer and currently Chairman of PRIMHE. He is the present Chairman of the Midlands Branch of the Society and currently researching the links between mental and physical health and integrating a primary mental health team into practices across a PCT and introducing them to rapid hypnotic techniques. He is a master practitioner in NLP and teaches hypnosis to students at Birmingham Medical School.
 
Dr S Reena Sungum Paliwal is a regional Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist in the West Midlands .   She is also honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer in Paediatrics and Child Health. She has been practising hypnosis for 11 years. She uses hypnosis and NLP in anxiety management of autism spectrum disorders, tics and Tourette syndrome & PTSD in the NHS.    She teaches hypnosis to Specialist Registrars.   She is an examiner at Birmingham Medical School and for the MRCPsych II of the Royal College of Psychiatrists. 
 
Jean Rogerson worked as a theatre sister in both the NHS and the Private Sector and gained a qualification in Adult Education.   She was then employed as the Manager in a busy Outpatient Department at the Wolverhampton Nuffield Hospital. Jean is passionate about clinically qualified professionals becoming aware of the benefits of Hypnosis in an acute hospital environment. She presented a paper at the RCN Complementary Therapies in Nursing in 2004 and lectures on Hypnosis at Oxford Brookes University. Jean is editor of the Newsletter and a committee member of BSCAH. She is also on the Academic and Accreditation Committee and is an accreditation assessor for the society

Available to Doctors, Dentists, Psychologists, Dental Nurses, Registered Nurses, Physiotherapists, Counsellors, Midwives, Radiographers and all paramedics working in the NHS.
Delivery
 
ØPart-time attendance over 1 year
ØModules will be delivered in 3 blocks comprising a total 8 study days (Saturday and Sunday) 2/3 October 2010, 27/28 November 2010, 5/6 March 2011 and 11/12 June 2011.
