Branches

Branches are organised geographically as follows:

  • Eastern Counties
  • Ireland
  • Lancs and Cheshire
  • Mets and South
  • Midlands
  • Northern Counties
  • West of England

Branches are autonomous in their activity.  All have elected committees usually comprising a Chair, Hon Sec, Hon Treasurer and Council Rep.

 

Benefits of Branch Membership

  • Branches may run training courses following the National Core Curriculum
  • Each branch determines how often to meet and the subject matter of their meetings, for the benefit of their members. 
  • BSCAH members can attend any branch meeting but a fee may be charged if they attend a meeting run by a branch other than their own
  • Peer support is offered through the branch structure
  • Ongoing training is often offered in the form of workshops
  • Networking opportunities are afforded at branch meetings
