When: TBC
Location:

About the training:

Would you like to learn how to integrate clinical hypnosis within your specialism?

Do you or your colleagues suffer from burnout or stress? If so, then this is the course for you!

Learn how clinical hypnosis and the use of imagery can transform your anxious patients!

Learn how to avoid giving negative suggestion and capture your patient’s imagination to help themselves.

Module 1 of our short Foundation training gives you the basic skills you need to integrate hypnotic techniques into your clinical work to help both you and your patients with anxiety and stress. Learn about the neuroscience behind the hypnotic response and how words can influence the outcome of any interaction you have with your patients.

Modules 2 and 3 expand on this knowledge and demonstrates ways of working with patients with a variety of problems such as pain, psychosomatic problems, phobias and past traumatic memories.

There are also various optional specialist modules that will enable you to expand your knowledge of using clinical hypnotic techniques with children, in obstetrics, PTSD, depression, grief, oncology and terminal care.

In the current climate much of the training will be online but each Branch will arrange how they deliver this and decide when face to face practical sessions can be re-instituted safely.

Eastern Counties are pleased to announce that they are planning their Foundation course in Clinical Hypnosis for Healthcare Professionals at West Suffolk Hospital in 2021.

Please contact Eamonn Coveney E: eamonn.coveney@wsh.nhs.uk to register your interest. Further contact details can be found below.

The British Society for Clinical & Academic Hypnosis is offering a series of training workshops in the use of medical hypnosis during 2021. This course will be of interest to any doctors, dentists, nurses, health care professionals or clinical psychologists who wish to use hypnosis as part of their clinical practice. The training will entail 3 workshops lasting 2 days each (Saturday & Sunday). This course covers a core curriculum recognised by the BSCAH and could lead to accreditation with the BSCAH to practice hypnosis in a clinical setting.

There are already a significant number of doctors, dentists, nurses and health professionals who have been trained in West Suffolk Hospital by the BSCAH and are using hypnosis in their day to day practice. This is the fourth time that the training for the East of England will be based in West Suffolk Hospital. We are looking for expressions of interest to facilitate and tailor the training program.

An application form and further information is available on contact . Alternatively please book online below.
