Cancellation policy: Full refund if cancelled up to 4 weeks prior to event; 50% refund if cancelled 2-4 weeks before the event, no refund if cancelled after this time.
There is a minimum number requirement for this training, and if this has not been reached by two weeks prior to the training, then BSCAH reserves the right to cancel with full refunds given.

Timetable:

Morning session: 9.30am -12.30pm (Sat) 10.00am - 12.30pm (Sun)

Afternoon session: 1.30pm - 4.00pm

What is covered in the course?

Learning Outcomes:
1. To understand the history and theories of hypnosis.
2. To identify nocebic language and how to utilise language to reduce anxiety.
3. To be aware of the safety aspects of hypnosis and how to prepare the patient for hypnosis.
4. To know how to build rapport, induce hypnosis and give positive suggestion effectively.
5. To be able to use and teach anchoring and self-hypnosis.

Module 1 will provide a solid, practical foundation in clinical hypnosis.
You will learn the basics, the theories and common applications of hypnosis.
You will also learn how to induce a hypnotic trance in your patients and how to utilise the trance for therapeutic goals.
This two day training gives you the basic skills you need to integrate hypnotic techniques into your clinical work to help both you and your patients with anxiety and stress. Learn about the neuroscience behind the hypnotic response and how words can influence the outcome of any interaction you have with your patients.

 

How will the course be delivered?

You will be given guided access to curated online resources (available for three months) which cover all aspects of the Core Curriculum for Module 1.
There will be experiential learning and practice in breakout rooms in groups of three or four, supervised by an experienced hypnosis practitioner.
This course is made up of self directed study and organised face to zoom sessions and breakout rooms.
All tutors are Healthcare professionals with experience of integrating clincial hypnosis within their area of specialism.

Specialist Modules
Once you have completed Module 1 you may decide to undertake further training in your speciality via Specialist modules or to progress to Modules 2 and 3 to gain a broader understanding of the applications of clinical hypnosis generally.
