How will this course be delivered?

The course is blended, with 1 day in which the teaching is delivered virtually via zoom with an option to attend some face to face teaching in Edinburgh.

Virtual tuition

The virtual tuition day will consist of two 2 hour sessions (zoom) of discussion, demonstrations of hypnotic techniques and opportunities to practice. There will be suitable breaks plus a long relaxing break for lunch. These sessions are planned to begin at 9.30am until 16.30pm with a long lunch break 12.15pm – 14.00pm. The zoom will remain open with optional opportunity to chat with the tutors who will be available for up to 30 mins of that time.

All relevant resources will be made available before the tuition days. These may include; videos, recorded PowerPoint presentations, papers, and materials designed to encourage reflection and discussion. Delegates are to familiarise themselves with these before the teaching days.
The content is an important part of the training, in readiness for the virtual tuition days.

Face to face tuition

There are face to face tuition sessions in Edinburgh. On these days, the tuition will start on a Saturday after lunch, (lunch will be provided), until approximately 16.30pm, and the following Sunday morning from 10am until lunchtime. This means that for most people only one night away from home should be necessary.

*For those students who would find physically attending Edinburgh difficult (Either for geographic or personal reasons) they will be facilitated to join those sessions virtually. If at the time the situation in the country with respect to Covid-19 makes it unwise to deliver tuition face to face then we will provide the content solely virtually.
