We follow the BSCAH Core curriculum (36 hours CPD) The course will be co-presented by Grahame Smith and Gillian Smith (no relation),
We usually have guest tutors for Module 3 according to professional mix and number of delegates
We intend the whole course to be an enjoyable opportunity to learn with and from other disciplines in a supportive non-threatening setting. Maximum of 15 ensure this.
We are flexible according to needs.
2019 SATURDAY times are sign in from 09.15 for 09.45 start finishing at 5pm , SUNDAY sign in ready for 09.30 prompt start. Closing time on Sundays is usually negotiated with the group to allow for train times etc. (Tutors remain available to 5pm) Please click the icon for the 2019 programme.
The FIRSTmodule is designed to enable you to have:-
Basic practical understanding of the nature of hypnosis
A personal experience of hypnosis
Developed knowledge, skills, and experience with colleagues in the group in the art and craft of using hypnosis
Be aware of the possibilities offered with clinical hypnosis and scientific and clinical evidence for its application
Be aware of cautions, contraindications and ethical issues
Be ready and able to use straightforward imagery, relaxation, and general suggestions to help patients /clients/service users encountered in professional practice (with or without formal induction as appropriate).
Aims/objectives for the other modules being advised to current delegates
We hope it will refresh your rapport with patients, enable you to offer enhanced non pharmacological interventions and increase you own sense of wellbeing. Gill, Grahame and Dan offer you support during, and indeed after, the course.
Discounts may be available to certain delegates for example: Colleagues associated with The Retreat York, the Queens Centre for Oncology, Hull, and other institutions.,undergraduate students, low earning training grades, and exceptional cases.
