This webinar will show you how to reduce the suffering experienced by patients undergoing painful procedures. Expert Dr Elvira V. Lang, MD, PhD, Founder and CEO of Comfort Talk, will show how language and rapport can enable clinicians to reduce the suffering of patients undergoing unpleasant procedures.

This webinar will also introduce informal approaches of procedural hypnosis with a focus on the powers of word choice and how to avoid the adverse effects of negative suggestions.

Based on extensive clinical trials and clinical practice, this webinar builds on 25 years of experience with hypnotic techniques of managing patient anxiety and pain surrounding medical/dental procedures.

CPD applied.

This webinar will:

  • Provide an introduction to informal approaches of procedural hypnosis and focus on the powers of word choice, and how to avoid adverse effects of negative suggestions.
  • Help you learn how to build rapport instantly, reduce patient anxiety and moderate the effect of painful stimuli.
  • Identify rapid hypnotic techniques demonstrated with a sample script of a formal induction.
  • Be supplemented with findings from a recent clinical trial at Tufts Dental School.
