Sara Llewellyn

Sara works as Counsellor and Hypnotherapist in Private Practice from her village-based home in Barlaston, Staffordshire.  During the lockdown she has retrained to offer online appointments alongside telephone appointments instead of face to face therapy, she has found this alternative surprisingly effective.

She has had an interesting and varied career path which enables her to offer a wide range of life experiences to enhance her work with clients, beginning her career at 18 working in what we would now know as a ‘Loan Shark’ to a more pleasant role in a Chartered Accountants. After having two sons she created a successful career as an Executive PA for a number of years.  Following a severe illness and a 2-year recovery she moved into Education and trained as a Nursery Nurse before attaining a teaching certificate for Primary Education, where she specialised in language acquisition, SENS, social and emotional development and work with children and families of refugees and asylum seekers, supporting both the children and their families across 3 schools in Stoke on Trent.  Throughout these many life roles, she found herself ‘helping’ people and finally trained as a Counselling Psychologist at Keele attaining the MSc in 2011.  Sara knows the value of Hypnosis which was offered to her as a pain relief during her illness; she subsequently trained in Clinical Hypnosis and Stress Management with BSCAH where she attained the Advanced Diploma.

Sara also works as a volunteer counsellor and telephone befriender for a number of charities specialising in childhood sexual abuse, domestic violence and anger management.  She values the whole person approach, working in a multi-sensory way creatively with clients where this is helpful to them.  She is currently taking the Creative Supervision Diploma and is seeking Counselling Supervisees to work with her during this training period.

Dr Andrew Baderin

Andrew was a hospital doctor and a Surgical Fellow before retraining as a GP and hypnotherapist. He obtained a Diploma in Clinical Hypnosis from the University of Sheffield in 1995 and practiced hypnotherapy both privately and as part of his NHS work. He is now retired from the NHS but remains in private practice.

Andrew has over twenty years’ experience of hypnotherapy in the management of anxiety disorders in Primary Care.
