As you will recall, in 2021, we postponed the ISH World Congress to June of this year. We all hoped it would be possible for our world community to meet in person and reconnect. Unfortunately, the COVID pandemic continues. It now appears that the COVID situation worldwide is not resolving and may even be getting worse in some places. So we, unfortunately, will have to postpone the in-person world congress again. This time to 2024, we do not compete with the ESH Congress in Istanbul in 2023.

We still want to connect with you and provide a venue for our members to connect. ISH is planning a virtual online congress to occur in June to achieve these goals. The motto of this event is "Making connections in critical times." The ISH Board of Directors plans to travel to Krakow to have an in-person BOD meeting and host the virtual event. In addition, some keynote speakers of the virtual event are planning to travel to Krakow and present from there. This way, we will create a special atmosphere of a live online congress, where at least some colleagues stay together in the same room in Krakow.

Enclosed you find the link to see and register for the 2-day program of this special event with scientific and therapeutic keynotes and workshops, plus different possibilities to meet and interact. We thought a lot about the timing of the event so as to make it as accessible as possible and settled on a 3 pm to 7 pm Central European Time window for the main events on June 10 and 11, followed by a 1-hour social hour from 7 pm to 8 pm. This translates to starting times of 10 am in New York, 7:00 am in Los Angeles, 10 pm in Beijing, and midnight (sorry, Australia!) in Sydney.

During these difficult times, we view ISH as a unique safe place where people from all countries can meet peacefully and cooperate productively.

To make this event possible and affordable for everybody, we decided to make this event free for ISH members and members of ISH's constituent societies. That said, there are costs associated with putting on the occasion, especially for the Polish organizing team. Additionally, this team has been working steadily since 2018 to organize a successful 2021 congress. And we are delighted and lucky they agreed to manage it now 2024. This is a lot of additional work, and they have to pay the organizing staff for six years instead of three. We suggest honoring with a donation to the Polish team of 30/60/80 Dollars/Euro for each registration for those who choose to donate.
